Fall / Halloween

The seasons have changed quickly here and winter is just around the corner. It got cold pretty quickly this year but we did have a few nice fall days to spend outside. Our new house has so many trees that I couldn’t wait for fall so that Sarah could have fun playing in the leaves. At first she wasn’t too thrilled with the whole idea but after a few minutes of me showing her how to toss them about she loved it (and of course she looked adorable too).

We also took her to the pumpkin patch where she had tons of fun running around, picking out pumpkins, and riding the ponies. We have created another horse lover and everywhere we go now she points out the horses we pass and if there are pony rides we have to take her on them.

For Halloween Sarah was a hula girl. We bought her costume while we were in Hawaii and she was so adorable (an the only hula girl in Illinois). We took her to the Halloween party my mom’s group had and she won a prize for funniest costume. She trick-or-treated at my work. I didn’t think she’d really be into it but once she saw her cousin Nico taking candy out of one bucket and putting it into his own, she was hooked. She had so much fun going around putting things in her “purse”. It’s a good thing she doesn’t know what candy is yet because she ended up with a ton of it (Daddy didn’t mind helping to get rid of it though!).
